in our disclaimer.
This series of caches runs along the Rails to Trails that is just south of Ridgecrest along the 395 and then wraps around the hills and heads out by Brown Road. It has a mix of cache sizes.
Please be wary of desert animals, road conditions, OHVs, and shooters.
The actual trail is sand, packed dirt, pea gravel, and small gravel along the way. There are some dirt trails and dirt roads that can get you close to some of the caches as well as allow vehicle access to the trail. Our original idea was to walk it, but it's drivable up through #25 in a 2WD (We used a Toyota Sienna Minivan). You may want to detour around the bridge that is past that point unless you have a high clearance vehicle.
There are homes along #1-#10, but none from #11-??
This series has been set up by students who attend Burroughs High School and are a part of our BHS Geocaching Club. The intent is to add more caches along this trail throughout the school year.
This particular cache is a bit "off trail". The Club members opted to climb the hill a bit and hide a cache in the rocks.
The nearest parking or vehicle access to this section is either Rails to Trails #13 or #17.
There are no homes along this section of the trail.
