Geocache Description:

This cache is a medium lock-n-lock container hidden in Wetlands Park often called North Extension of Ellison Park and Lucien Morin Park.

Placing this cache in the park that has the ruins of an old rifle range led to the title for this cache. There is a trail actually called the Rifle Range Trail . There are several trails that will take you past the remains of two pits used for target practice for the 108th Infantry of G Company of the National Guard. They were stationed at the East Main Street Armory in Rochester. The gazebo that you see is where officers would station themselves to watch the practicing. The concrete stairs that lead to nowhere now once led to the main house that burned down in the 1960’s.
The trails in this park are varied in terrain difficulty but there are trails for all abilities. The trail to this cache is a moderate hike taking you to a higher elevation and has some nice views along the way. Near the cache location you can get a good view looking down at the old rifle pits. Enjoy the hike and the wildlife you may see along the way.

The coordinates are bouncy so use your geosenses. Will make adjustments if necessary.
