Geocache Description:

Cache and dash located on a pathway which runs between Gables Road and Christ Church. I'm told that the coords are out but it seems all GPS's give different results & no two suggested corrections have been the same yet

Daphne Du Maurier, aka Lady Browning, lived for a brief time in a house called ‘Greyfriars’ in Gables Road, Church Crookham. This was where her novel ‘Rebecca’ was completed in 1938. The house was demolished and I have been unable to find out exactly whereabouts it was in the road. If anybody does know please share. Several of the streets names in the next door housing estate, Zebon Copse, are derived from both her life and her works.

Dame Daphne du Maurier (Lady Browning) 1907 - 1989
