Small cache and dash. Or can be done in a circuit with Geocache Tibberton and Dark Barn.
The Year 1 and 2's at Tibberton Primary School, which is nearby, were learning about Lighthouses as their main topic for the term. This led on to a mini project on pirates. We all know that pirates hunt for treasure, and use maps and co-ordinates. "I use maps and co-ordinates when I go Geocaching," one eager pupil exclaimed.
"Geocaching, I'm sure I've heard of that, but what is it?"
And so began an enthusiasm for Geocaching which involved the whole class going out, on a cold and clear winters day, to find their first cache.
The children enjoyed it so much, they decided to place their own cache to see how many people visited it.
There's also going to be a Travel Bug heading out for them to follow on the map!
Due to some 'goings on', it has moved fractionally - more upwards than anything else!
