The Indiana Spirit Quest series of geocaches will take you to a number of historic cemeteries built by Hoosier Pioneers. In just over a year and a half, the quest has grown to over three hundred caches hidden in twenty-six Indiana counties, and the hiders consist of several cacher teams, which are comprised of A Man and His Dog... and one who is a Dog and her Woman. Over 600 cacher teams have logged over 7,000 finds.

Welcome to the Old Cemetery, Center Township, Hancock County in downtown Greenfield. This is a very sad cemetery which has grossly been neglected over the years. It is currently owned by the City of Greenfield who has obviouly put some significant effort into both groundskeeping and possibly restoration. I am guessing that the few remaining graves on the east side of the cemetery are marked for some restoration work. The effort being put forth here is appreciated.
Of the few remaining marked graves is this line of Civil War era makers. Trees have come up from underneath and have actually consumed one of the markers."

The cache container is is a camouflaged pill bottle. Please leave it at least as well concealed, if not better, than you found it. If you find fallen or worn US flags at the graves of veterans, please take a moment to upright or replace them. Dispose of worn US flags in a respectable manner.
