Geocache Description:

The drive out here is very scenic and worth while. There is a free standing rocky outcrop right next to the road. The cache is hidden in a hollow halfway up this rocky outcrop on the northern side. It is not too high and the climb not too difficult. Although the site is right next to the public road, the land is privately owned. The land-owners are aware of the cache - they are friendly people and welcome anybody who would like to explore the area.

The rocky outcrop is typical Cedarberg and Table mountain sandstone with lots of natural holes and crevices. The easiest way up is from the northern side. Halfway up you will find a semi-flat section. The cache is hidden at this level under a small overhang of rocks behind a few trees and bushes. I've placed a few rocks on and around the container to prevent it from being too obvious and visible to baboons.

Cache - Ice cream container containing the following items:

Logbook and pen
Bicycle Handlebar grip
Nailbrush
Paintbrush
Velcro strip
12 v bulb
Seashell
3 eucalyptus seeds
Button

Take care when rocks are wet. There is a high fire risk in this area, so please refrain from smoking or making any fires. Have fun and enjoy the scenery.
