Geocache Description:

Another element hide to help people qualify for Boreal Walker's Periodic Table of Elements Challenge without having to drive halfway across the planet. I don't usually hide traditionals, let alone easy ones, so generally my caches get found about as often as Halley's Comet. But I have to say the influx of dinging emails on my iPhone after I hid Seaborgium was incredibly reaffirming and touching. I decided more of a good thing must be better, so here you are: Mendelevium! For those of you interested in the history behind the element, I've clipped this piece from the Wiki:

Roderick Yohann Sebastian Conan "Radioactive" Mendeleev got his name on an element by creating the world's first Periodic Table of Elements, which he built in his garage using leftover parts from old Apple IIG computers. For most of his life, he lived in relative obscurity, working a register at the Moscow McDonald's during the day, then playing Farmville and World of Warcraft in the basement of his mother's house at night. But that all changed after an epic WoW raid against Highlord Kruul, in which Mendeleev's character was severely wounded from one of the Highlord's swordstrikes. From that point, Mendeleev dedicated his life to unlocking the mysteries of the elements, and the rest is history. A popular speaking tour personality, Mendeleev currently lives in Hollywood and is working on the film adaptation of his sci-fi bestseller: "Elemental Woman vs. Seeingitdifferent."
