Rabat Mill Pond Traditional Cache

Rabat Mill Pond, actually Moorefield's Mill as shown on a Halifax County map is pronounced Ray-bat. I named the cache after the county road where you can access parking & GZ.

This location is across the road from where the water from an old mill used to flow. There are reports of some serious bounce in the area, you may have to expand your search area to find this.

If you look across the creek toward the cutover, you may be able to spot the old iron mill wheel. It's the only part of the mill still there. You can park on the wide shoulder near the "No Dumping" signs. It is there that the wheel may be visible. It's hard to see, but if you notice an odd circular shape in the vines & trees, that is it. From there, you will be seeing the 'bucket side' of it, rather than the entire wheel.

GZ is a short walk back toward the intersection, it will be on your right. Muggley, but if you pretend to be taking a picture or CITOing, they'll probably ignore you. CITO could be a part of the camouflage for your visit here.
