I like geocaching because it brings you to interesting places that
you might never normally go to. Hopefully this is interesting to
you. If you have time check out the interesting buildings and the
K-Town Pavillion Garden across the street. Just be careful when
crossing the street. When we were scouting out this area for this
cache we witnessed a car accident where the car rolled over once!
Thankfully no one was hurt.
The $1.194 million field renovation was supported by the Dodgers
Dream Foundation, the Amateur Athletic Foundation, the City of Los
Angeles (Proposition K: LA for Kids Program) and State of
California (Proposition 12: 2000 Parks Bond Act and Proposition 40:
Resources Bond Act). Renovations included the installation of a new
irrigation system, fencing, landscaping that surrounds the playing
area, a state-of-the art scoreboard, lighting, dugouts, bleachers
and multi-purpose synthetic turf over the entire playing field,
making this the first Dodgers Dream Field of its kind.
