The North Sea Trail og Drivvejen
The North Sea Trail er resultatet af et internationalt samarbejde om etablering af en vandrerute hele vejen rundt om Nordsøen – langs kysterne af Norge, Sverige, Skotland, England, Holland, Tyskland og Danmark. På ruten kan man opleve den meget varierede natur i landene og få oplysning om mange seværdigheder.
Drivvejen er den del af ruten, der ligger mellem Limfjorden og det nordlige Tyskland. Her er ruten lagt, så man følger de historiske drivveje, hvor bl.a. levende kvæg blev drevet fra Jylland til markeder i Nordtyskland og Holland.
Vi har placeret 8 cacher langs Drivvejen mellem Oddesund og Å-Mølle for at gøre opmærksom på den enestående natur. Med cacherne som udgangspunkt kan man lave sine egne traveture i området eller bare følge skiltningen
Aa-Mølles ”Fødselsattest”
Stenen, som populært kaldes Aa-Mølles Fødselsattest, står på sin oprindelige plads. Her lå møllen indtil 1839, da havet brød igennem ved Thyborøn Kanal, hvilket medførte en stormflod ind i Nissum Bredning. Møllen blev oversvømmet og efterfølgende opført på sin nuværende plads
The North Sea Trail and The Drove Road
The Drove Road is a part of the North Sea Trail – being an international cooperation on creating walking trails around The North Sea Coast. The North Sea Trail project covers walking trails in Sweden, Norway, Scotland, England, The Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. The Drove Road between Limfjord and Northern Germany follows the historic drove roads used for drifting cattle and other animals southwards to the markets in Northern Germany and The Netherlands.
We have placed 8 caches along The Drove Road between Oddesund and Å-Mølle to draw your attention to the unique nature. From the caches it is possible to create your own walking trails or just follow the marked route.
”The birthplace” of Aa-Mølle
This stone relates to the birth of Aa-Mølle and is situated in its original place. The mill was taken by a flood, when in 1839 the North Sea in a storm broke through at Thyborøn. Later the mill was moved to the place, where you find it now .
