Scout126: This geocache has completely disappeared. It was vandalized several times over the years, and since I no longer work in the area, I cannot maintain as I once did. It was a good location, and had lots of visits, but needed lot's of attention. Time to let this one go. Goodbye Odessa Park!

Geocache Description:

Family friendly cache in a nice little park.

Hide is in a nice little community park, known both as Odessa Park and Sunnyside Neighborhood Park. It is very family friendly with facilities for all, including a great playground for the little ones, skate park, handball court, a pleasant nature loop trail, with plenty of parking. While you're here, it's worth a walk around to do a bit of exploring. I've seen several deer out in the woods and along the natural trail! Plus, as an added bonus, it's just outside the infamous Washington Beltway, so you can hear, and occasional see, the hoards zipping past, oblivious to this hidden cache.
