Geocache Description:

Welcome to BroyleBoxers’ Circuit #1 – BBC1 in short.

The Walkabout has eleven traditional caches, one Multi cache and two Bonus caches. The circuit is designed to take you on a walk of just under 5 miles.

The walk passes through the eastern edge of Charlton Forest which is a large leasehold woodland of 997 hectares. Charlton Forest is one of the largest Beech forests in Europe and was planted between 1940 and 1960. Under the terms of the lease, public access in the forest is limited to Public Rights of Way, so there is no direct route from #8 to #10 on the Walkabout.

The Walkabout is designed to be completed in numerical order, with this cache providing some interest between #8 and #10. The cache is hidden within 250 metres of the final waypoint for the Multi.

When placed the cache contained an FTF badge courtesy of Wizardsmum and a few small swaps.

Do you take footpath signs for granted? How often have you walked past one without noticing? How often have you thought you've passed a sign when there wasn't one there at all?

This cache is intended to encourage you to pay attention to the signs you are passing. There are seven waypoints where you need to collect information.

N.B. You will reach the first two waypoints BEFORE Woody Walkabout #8, and the third waypoint is close to Woody Walkabout #8.

Signpost 1 - This signpost has been repaired since we set the cache, but please ignore the fingers at the top. You are looking for the total number of letters on all sides of the post = A

Signpost 2 - How many times does the word "public" appear = B
Number of yellow arrows = C
How many times does the letter "i" appear = D

Signpost 3 - Is there a signpost here?
If so, how many times does the word "bridleway" appear = E
If there's no signpost, E = zero

Signpost 4 - Number of blue arrows = F
How many times does the word "footpath" appear = G

Signpost 5 - Number of yellow arrows = H

Signpost 6 - Is there a signpost here?
If so, the number of blue arrows = J
If there's no signpost, J = zero.

How many times does the word "footpath" appear = L

The cache is hidden at N50 55.F(B+G)K W000 40.((A-D)/2)(H+J)(C+L-E)
