Geocache Description:

Very short hike, but requires 2-mile travel on a dirt road. Watch out for the cholla cactus! Great view of the desert.

The geocache box is near the Sacatone overlook. It has historic makers with information about the nearby railroad, the Buffalo Soldiers, and other points of interest. There are two picnic tables at the overlook, and don't forget to check out the nearby mines.

The container is an old ammo box marked "Geocache" with orange paint.

To get to the site, you'll need to traverse a 2-mile rocky dirt road. It's not well maintained. The final hike requires you to travel up a short dirt road to a hill. Four-wheel drives with clearance may be able to drive to it.
