Geocache Description:

Quick grab by main road

Waieti stream. Popular fishing spot. I have named this Hamish's Taniwha because of a story that I swear is true. Hamish(not his real name) was cleaning some mutton that he had found(don't ask) at around midnight, as you do. He noticed a huge eel feeding on the mutton guts. So he decided to jump in and get the eel, as you do. Instead the eel wrapped itself around Hamish's neck and pulled him under water and he drifted towards the lake. Hamish said that you haven't really seen the moon until you are floating down a stream and are staring up at it under water about to die. I am not going to argue.
