Our 2012 Baker County MoonShine Champions..GAIL FORCE




We will start here at the house and you will be given the cords to NINE caches around Baker County that have at one time or another was a pick up spot for some of the best shine in the south or home of a close by still.

In each cache you will get some cords to lead you to the final point the Master Still.

It would be best to form teams for this run and the team that brings my Shine back to me the fastest and with least amount of miles driven will be our Moon Shine Runner Kings or Queens.

You will be in search of several ammo cans that will take you to a section of Baker County that was well know for Shine running many years ago. You will have to find all the cans AND pick up your teams container of Shine to bring back to me.

Sound easy well you don't know the rules of Shine running then do ya but you will learn. All the rules of the game will be brought to you on the morning of the run which will start around 9am and last untill every team has checked back in.

We will then have cooked animal on the grill ( Hot Dogs Baker County Style and Bubba Burgers ) around noon for all to enjoy. Any sides that you feel necessary would be welcomed.

If you don't know what to bring then here is a list you can go by. With your help, there will be plenty to eat. I will supply the meat of course. Currently, Cooked Animal on the grill is on the menu.

We should begin serving around 12:00. Please plan on bringing something to add to the feast!

As a suggestion, if your caching name starts with....
A - F ==> Bring hot dog and Hamburger Buns.
G - L ==> Bring Water; Sweet/Unsweet Tea; Sodas; Ice; Coolers; Cups.
M - R ==> Bring Side Dishes like Baked Beans; Mac&Cheese; Veggie Casseroles.
S - Z ==> Bring Side Dishes like Veggies Trays; Fruit; Fruit Trays; Potato Salad; Macaroni Salad; Slaws; Chips & Dip or ==>.

Bring whatever you want! Just let us know what you decide to bring! Please indicate what you will be bringing so that we all have an idea of what items will be available.

Only hand loaded cords can be used to which you will be given that morning. At each cache there will be numbered containers holding My Shine and each team will have to have all their containers and find My Still and get back here to the starting point without breaking any laws. The local Cops will be notified of this so be careful. Stelth will be the name of the game here. My Police all know about Geocaching now so they will be on the look out for any Shine Runners in the area.

More info. will come on this event as it unfolds so stay tuned to this cache page. There will be prizes for those of you who learn the game of Shine Running.

All caches should be excessable for two wheel drive or any type autos but remember we will be traveling down the back roads of Baker County and beyon.

If one of Baker Countys Finest busts you there has to be a picture.

I again this year will notify the local law enforcement agency to be on the look out for Shine runners so you don't want to get Busted.

If you don't have a team do not worry as we will get you on a team so you can enjoy the fun.


Teams will consist of how ever many cachers you want and you will be allowed what ever transportation needed.


You will NEED a digital camera unless you cell phone camera works in low coverage areas. There will be pictures that will have to be taken.

There will ba few new twists to this years event as feed back was great.

Please form your teams and list them so I will know how much shine I will have picked up for me.

I am looking to have a Coin made for this event and a Path Tag that will match it.

We will have a 50/50 raffel and a raffel for some very cool prizes so get ready to win.
