Geocache Description:

This garden is the result of many students combining their talents and energy, over five years, and creating what you see before you. Work continues in developing and maintaining the project and it assisted in the school gaining the ‘Enviro-Schools’’ Green-Gold Award in 2011.
Hopefully more native birds will become aware of this oasis on the Wairau Plain and come and visit – so far silver eye and fantail have been attracted by the food supply, and now the Guardians of the Garden are watching for the arrival of the tui.
There are two access options. One way is through the main school gate (park in the school car park) and along the paths to the main entrance to the garden (check out the ‘Legend’ here). Or go through the garden gate on the road side. Be aware of the busy road – this is a major access way to the vineyards and wineries in the area. Check your time of visiting as you could be under observation by at least 200 sets of eyes (and some fellow cachers!). Don’t rush away but take time to find the garden sculptures created by students specifically for their garden.
You will not need to go off the paths, or disturb anything, in order to find the cache. The cache is not on the ground. The cache is an eclipse tin, therefore there is room only for a logbook and a small pencil.

REMEMBER: This is an ongoing work by students in the school
ENJOY – do not destroy

This cache has been placed with the knowledge, and encouragement, of the Principal.
