Walk upstream from the famous Tide Mill at Woodbridge. After heavy rain the footpath can become muddy and pot-holey, as it was when I surveyed the site for the cache.
Across the river from the cache site is the land which used to belong to Mrs Edith Pretty, who in the late 1930s was responsible for initiating the excavation of the Anglo-Saxon ship burial at Sutton Hoo. The site now is owned by The National Trust, as is Tramner House where Mrs Pretty lived, and both are open to the public. Sadly, despite the wishes of Mrs Pretty who wished them to be kept in Suffolk, the treasures recovered from Sutton Hoo are now located in the British Museum.
Take care with small children because of the nearness of the river.
As the path is popular with doggie walkers, stealth may be rquired.
You are looking for a magnetic nano (oh how I hate those!), with room only for a log roll, so bring your own pen.
