The Whissendine 6ix is a six-mile road race, which takes place each July during Feast Week. It traditionally starts at Melton Road and finishes at the Village Green.
To coincide with ... and A Happy New Year event, 6ix new caches have been put out along the route of the Whissendine 6ix. The caches have not been placed at regular intervals but where it is deemed to be easy to park and a good place to hide a cache.
The caches can either be found by walking the route of the road race or as a cache and dashes - please be careful where you stop and park your car, most of the route is along narrow lanes.
There are a number of other caches to be found just off the route of the Whissendine 6ix (namely: Foxes Den, Pillbox, Level Crossing, Stapleford Post Box and Ducks-Go-A-Dabbling).
No 4 - this is a medium-sized cache in a camo bag, containing logbook and swaps. Big enough to take TBs and geocoins.
