Geocache Description:

An opportunity for some great pics!

Located just three kilometres north of Kiama at the southern end of Jones Beach, this distinctive rock formation is part of our geologically fascinating coastline. Cathedral Rocks, has lured sightseers since 1890. These volcanic rocks, while intensely hard, have many joints. These joints have been eroded for many years, leaving these mysterious rock formations. The rocks may be viewed from Cliff Drive or studied from close range by approaching from the north or the south. There is a little track going down to the rocks from cliff Drive, especially at low tide it is great to have a play downs there. These rocks are a photographer's delight! This cache is a little further from the rocks and entry has to be low from the boneyard! DON'T ATTEMPT THIS ONE DIRECTLY FROM THE TOP!!
