Geocache Description:

St. Mary's has built a mausoleum near the trailhead. You can still get to the cache - you may have to push aside some of the growth taking over the area, but cache is there and in good shape. You won't have to bushwack. One of a series of caches highlighting the parks in O'Hara Township. Parking is available onsite.

George J. Sacco Park was dedicated in October, 2009, and is named after a remarkable man. Mr. Sacco was fire marshal of O'Hara Township for 21 years, and dedicated to firefighting for 71 years. He passed away on February 25, 2010, and is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery which overlooks the park. This 4.64 acre park contains a very nice playground, complete with bouncy firetrucks, a swing set, a small field, picnic shelter with tables and a basketball court. The cache is a small lock-n-lock with a few items and a log/pencil. Please replace as found. Park hours are May 1 to October 31 - sunrise to 10pm; November 1 through April 30 - sunrise to dark. Placed with permission. ***Congratulations Penny's Pack - FTF!***
