Parking is available within 100 feet of the cache. The terrain is pretty flat until you reach the actual cache location. This area is prone to flooding, so watch your step - you may end up with wet feet. You will have to deal with briars and brambles and muggle activity is high. GZ could be more difficult to access during Spring and Summer due to undergrowth and poison ivy!
The first scene of the first episode of one of our favorite television shows, AMC's "The Walking Dead", was filmed at this location. In the opening scene, this area was covered with vehicles and abandoned campsites. The series hero, Rick Grimes, wandered through trying to find fuel for his vehicle. His encounter with a little girl who had become a zombie became one of the iconic moments of the series.
The employees at this establishment are very proud of the fact that their place of business was included in the film and will be happy to fill you in on more of the details if you go in to ask. They are aware of the cache and gave permission for the placement. Please respect the fact that this is a business establishment and use stealth since it can get busy. While you are there, grab a drink or snack for the road.
First to find gets a copy of the first season of the series if you are so inclined. It may not be suitable for children, so use your own judgement.
Oh, and watch out for walkers....
