And now they might have found "him". Maybe. Using an atlas of course. And although it sounds as if he should have been on a ship, he wasn't.

They needed to score a 5 or more for the odds to be in their favour (they fell well short). So let's pretend their values were 1.7546 and 2.0371. Work out the odds for these values and you will get the Northing and Westing coordinates you are seeking.

You will need more than an HB pencil and paper to work this out! Find one of the many suitable online resources and, with a bit of thought, the calculations will be as easy as pi.
