Geocache Description:

Enjoy a quiet hike through Bice Forest, pausing every so often to execute an "Aizy," which is our grand-daugher's own little dance move!

Our grand-daughter Aizy is quite the little girly-girl, something that somewhat mystifies Birdin', who up until this point in her life has always been surrounded by the male half of our species. Aizy loves pink. She loves beads and necklaces, and really loves shoes. (One thing Aizy and Birdin' do have in common!) Most of all, she loves to execute a little dance move spontaneously, one we call the "Aizy." Even her slightly older cousin Angelo will make this move and say "Aizy this!"

So follow Aizy's footsteps, or should I say dance steps, as we try to bring a little bit of tomboy behavior into her young world.

Aizy may not even be two yet, but she has plenty of energy, as long as we let her set the pace. So Aizy started this day by doing an "Aizy" at the parking spot, then running ahead of us on the trails. There wasn't any snow on this day, but if there is, Aizy would ask that you keep to the side so as not to mess up Gamma's ski trails! Aizy ran ahead for quite some distance, until she hit the little hill. That slowed her down and allowed the rest of us to catch up.

Aizy had time to catch her breath, so doing another "Aizy," she kicked it into gear once more, doing an "Aizy" whenever the mood hit her. Eventually she arrived at the posted coordinates. Hmm. Doing her move, she looked around to see where she could run and hide from Bampa and Gamma.

Remember, Aizy's not even two years old yet, so her movements are simple and should be easy to follow...including the "Aizy" step. She paused and looked into the woods to the east. She is a brilliant child, of course, so she knew it was east! She spotted a little hump of land that seemed to have a tiny path just her size cut across it. She ran over this hump of land about 55 feet into the woods. She's little, so the pokey things were mostly over her head, but might not be over yours! She saw a HUGE gnarly moss covered tree on the ground. She pulled up a loose section of the tree and ducked under it, but not before doing one more "Aizy."

See if you can find her in her little hiding place there. There is a handcarved stamp for you to add your impression to your stamp log, and feel free to leave your stamp image in ours, but be sure you have a stamp pad along to ink the stamps. Please leave that stamp in the letterbox for others to do the same. Please take the time to return it all as found, so that no masked bandits or curious outsiders happen upon it. Extra points if you post photos of yourself doing an "Aizy" along the trail!
