Geocache Description:

T&M #06 - Maya; This Unknown / Mystery Cache can only be solved in English. The Cache Only contains a logbook so remember a pen.

The conquistadores colonised the Mayan, Aztec and Incan centuries ago, during which some searched for the lost city of gold; El Dorado. Some beleive that El Dorado was a decoy leading intruders away from the real treasure and this city of gold never existed.
Francisco Pizarro was one of such belief. Contrary to what history and documents from that period state, Pizarro went to ancient mayan temples to collect the purest treasure the Mayans had kept a secret for centuries. He was gone for months and when he returned he was distant as he returned to his fellow conquistadores, and never spoke a word of what happened during the time he was gone.
From hereon there is no mentioning through history suggesting that this treasure exists, but an ancient page with wierd glyphs was passed down from generation to generation of Pizarro's ancestors. Pizarro's only living ancestor Madeleine P. Smith uploaded this image of the page a few days ago, with notes she had taken.
