Geocache Description:

This treasure will take you on a journey far and wide and maybe you will even get to know something about another state and even have a new caching friend when it is all done. Remember it is about those you meet along the way and not (necessarily) the numbers.

First you need to find the Wisconsin / California Exchange cache at the coordinates listed above. Inside the cache you will find some information that will be helpful to complete your mission (DO NOT POST THIS INFORMATION. If you do your log will be deleted).

Next you need to contact ANY geocacher who has found coordinates to the California / Wisconsin Exchange Stage 1 in Wisconsin. You can do this a few ways. You can look to see who has found the cache in Wisconsin (GC39840) and contact that cacher, you may post a note for assistance on the California / Wisconsin Exchange page, or you can visit the site yourself.

Once you have made contact, you can now exchange the information found in the cache with your new found geocaching buddy.

Finally, you need to find the final cache. Here is the fun part. Once you find the final cache please include the name of the Wisconsin cacher in the physical log who assisted you on this journey. In addition, please add the name of the Wisconsin geocacher in your online log.

Photos of yourself finding the cache would be a nice touch so your midwestern counterpart can put a face to a name however, this is not a requirement.

Oh I know in the beginning we said that this was about those cachers and friends you meet along the way and not about the numbers; well, since you have followed all of our requests and your midwestern counterpart has done the same (both of your names are in the logs) you get to log that cache too.

Inside the cache, hopefully you will find Wisconsin trinkets and treasures. (Go Pack! Go Bucky!) My partner and I will try to keep it stocked with such items.

Now, in case you haven't had the pleasure of visiting the Badger State, here are some little bits of trivia about it.

Wisconsin is 56,154 square miles large. Smaller than California!

Wisconsin was the 30th state to enter the Union.

State Flower: Wood Violet

State Tree: Sugar Maple

State Bird: Robin

State Fish: Musky

Wisconsin has been the birthplace of many famous people. Actor Spencer Tracy, Artist Georgia O'Keefe, Architect Frank Lloyd Wright, Environmentalists John Muir and Aldo Leopold are among those who claim Badger State origins. Two more noteable Wisconsinites are Harry Houdini and psychic Jean Dixon, which makes a person wonder about soil and water in this state! Adding to the strange and unique, the Ringling Brothers Circus was born in little Baraboo, Wisconsin, where you can visit the old circus grounds at Circus World Museum.

TnL Crew is acting as the local guardian for this cache. Thanks Trevor for encouraging us to arrange this fun exchange cache!
