Well, it is time to walk on water. Frozen water that is! This is another island cache for you winter cachers out there. I found this island on my recent caching trips to Gold Bar Park and Goldstick Park and thought it would be a good place to hide a cache. The cache got its name because of all of the "Gold" in the area. The hide is nothing special and should be quite easy. It is winter-friendly and you are looking for a small lock and lock tied to a spruce tree. Please leave the lid tied to the tree and just unsnap the bottom. The cache is full of coins and small trinkets and I even put in a gold GC that needs to be moved along.
BE CAREFUL AND ONLY LOOK FOR THIS CACHE WHEN THE ICE IS THICK ENOUGH TO CROSS!!! The shortest crossing is from the NE. Other than crossing the pond, the terrain is very easy and parking is very close by. The high terrain rating is because the cache is only available in the winter after the pond is frozen.
