Geocache Description:

a.k.a. “Salamander's Revenge”

This is a multi-part cache on the Barton Creek Greenbelt. Let me see, was that 3 parts or 4. In all the excitement I lost count.


Parking is at MY favorite spot, “Ole’ lift station # 70”, N 30° 14.726’, W 097° 49.433, at the bottom of the hill on Travis Country Circle. Other is parking available at Loop 360 Barton Creek parking area. Or park at the turn around under MoPac (“I wonder where all this broken window glass came from”) parking area. I’m including one waypoint to get you to the first cache / clue: N 30° 15.129’, W 097° 49.047’. The waypoint is there to keep you from having to bushwhack through sensitive cover and also so you don’t get hurt. After the first cache / clue, go to the main greenbelt trail, and you are on your own. All caches are hidden close to side trails and no real bushwhacking is necessary. My, My, My, there sure are a lot of side trails.

This is our 13th. Geocache (a lucky number? Hmm!), and should provide you with a little bit of a challenge as well as a little bit of a hike. Be prepared to spend some time searching. Please re-hide the caches as you found them so the next Geocacher can enjoy the challenge too.
