Red Dog Cabin Traditional Cache

Located in the Strawberry Pass area along a cross-country ski trail (though snowshoes are welcome too!) Best to park at the Seven Summits trailhead - at the top of Nancy Greene Summit.
This cabin used to be wonderful spot for lunch - unfortunately, after we hid the cache, we took a look inside. I ended up removing a dead packrat and the place smells "a little funky". Perhaps a good cache event would be to do a good clean-up here in the summer and splash on a coat of paint... Still a great spot to enjoy views of the Gladstone Range - but for lunch I would continue on to the Mosquito cabin. Nonetheless enjoy your visit here! Cache is hidden "winter-accessible style" on the uphill side of the trail - in a small clearing, about 20 or so metres to the left of the outhouse. GPSr reception was a bit iffy due to the big trees. Just look for a spot a bit sheltered from the main trail. Good luck!
PS. We hid this in winter. I do not know how easy this might be to access in the summer - though I'm sure it would be an adventure!
