This parkette includes a number of what I like to think of as benchettes, no doubt to make them a less comfortable place to sleep than a real bench would be. I notice that the bases of the benchettes can be lifted up for hiding a geocache, and that is just where this cache will be found now that the BART landcapers trimmed the lower branches off the tree we were using.
You will also notice that the cache name is no longer appropriate, as the taxi stand became a bus stop and it now looks like it will be just more parking spaces. The original name is kept for continuity, and you can still see where the curb shifted to make room for the cabs.
You may also notice that the parkette includes a log that one can use to cross the swale if one is sure-footed. I am happy to report that I tested the log for you and it was solid. I urge you to test it yourself (if you dare!) after you find the cache.
