This cache on the Wandering Heroes Power Trail immortalises the Australian Record Run on 12 December 2007 by the Kiwi Invasion. The cache is located along the Karoonda to Loxton road. This is a good bitumen road with a wide mallee vegetation corridor.
Witness a pub lunch on 13 December 2007. Enter Papa Bear Left who introduces 8 Kiwi cachers who instantly become world famous in Adelaide. After eight months planning the Kiwi invasion had occurred.
Cachers: KiwiLegend, Zorgon, rediguana, the.pud, tofska, KiwiGary, Moneydork, sp8sm8. Their final count 196 caches found in 24 hours. Midnight to midnight. Insane.
Driver: Papa Bear Left claimed only one find.
Adelaide has the highest density of caches in the country. Adelaide has a neat grid lay out. Adelaide has plenty of parking, and no freeways, rivers or major traffic snarls. The ideal location for an Australian Record Run.
