The cache is hidden in popular Huntington Beard Park in Fayetteville.
The centerpiece of the park is the old retention pond, fed by the Ledyard canal and historically used to ensure the steady supply of water to Fayetteville's mills.
The land was once the "Pond Lot" of the Wellwood estate, acquired by the Fayetteville school district in 1930. The park was dedicated in 1942.
You will need to be discrete, as the park is popular in all seasons. Please be aware of the parking signs on Franklin St, parking is restricted weekdays due to the proximity of Wellwood Middle School.
