Geocache Description:

Cornwall's first 100 plus cache series. There's a fair mix of footpaths and very minor roads - with quite a lot of up and down sections. Dogs should be no problem, buggies/prams and wheelchairs will struggle - lots. Some stunning views so bring a camera. There are several stiles on the way round.

Mr Choughly The Choughly Saint's HALO Cache Series

It’s based on parts of “The Saints Way”, a circuit of some 22 miles, taking in coastline, moorland, a tor and a selection of delightful towns and villages - with many spots to stop for tea or if you’re that way inclined there’s a lovely selection of fine Cornish Pubs on the way round.

Cache Name HALO - St Meriadoc
Cache Comments This micro is a 35mm film container in a hidey hole on a narrow footpath of Passage Street leading to a blue crane. Good views of the Fowey Lifeboat from here - watch your step - you could end up in the water if you go too far.
Parking &Shops Appropriate long term parking in Readymoney Cove at N 50 19.930 W 004 38.865. Free in the Winter but Pay and Display in the Summer. This cache is one of a delightful section through the town of Fowey. A sub series of 11 caches from St Buryan to St Catherine also gives an opportunity to grab a variety of existing caches including a couple of great puzzle multi-caches by Minimise. Car parking is available (not free in the summer) at Caffa Mill at N 50 20.410 W 004 38.205 and at N 50 20.410 W 004 38.055.
HALO Website

printable User Guide and a HALO series Passport for collecting copies of the Rubber stamps you'll find on the way round at The Choughly Saint's Webpages Here.

There's a special HALO Forum if you wish to ask for any help or advice Here

Lucky Chough Contest

If you're lucky enough to find a small, lovingly handcrafted chough in any of the caches, then you could be lucky enough to win one of a very limited number of the 2008 Cornish Geocoin in an Antique Bronze finish. Just Email Choughly, and you'll be entered into his lucky draw to win the coin.

General HALO Information

This cache is part of a 21 Mile circuit, placed by a number of Cornish Cachers.

There are 14 Caches as part of the series that may contain Rubber stamps that you can use to record your visit. If you'd like to do this you'll need to carry your own stamp Pad.

There's a GeoPost Office as one of the caches - if you wish to send a postcard then you'll need to carry a Royal Mail stamp with you.
