Sandi loved Oregon and above all she loved Yachats. She would spend hours combing the gravel on Smelt Sands Beach for agates. She really liked “moss agates” best of all. When her mother or our daughters came to visit they would always head out with her for a day of agate hunting at Smelt Sands Beach. In early 2000 when Sandi was diagnosed with cancer she knew what she wanted – to be cremated and her ashes throw in the sea at Smelt Sands. And so it was. Later that same year I honored her wishes.
Sandi loved sea life and especially turtles. So with that in mind you will find much sea-swag in her cache along with some of the agates that she found there. If you have small trade items with a sea theme please share them with her. Sandi loved holly so if you see a bush you are close but not quite there.
