Only the local dog walkers seem to know about this beautiful
area. A little further up this road, the public footpath entrance
is hidden away: the only clue is that there are often cars parked
by the roadside. The walk is very manageable - flat and quite
beautiful - through farmers fields. However, the entrance to the
field is over a stile, and there are one or two stiles further on.
All are in excellent condition and dog-friendly.
the fields themselves are flat farm fields (although the Cooden
Moat is a small patch of woodland with some brambles). At the
moment (December 2011) there are some muddy patches but they're
quite passable with wellies. Cows occasionally graze here so there
are some cowpats!
