Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the fairly new Kinneret Trail. Currently, the trail allows hikers to follow the shoreline from Kfar Nahum, all the way to Ein Gev. Each area has its own character and the path itself is not consistent in its navigability. The northern side, from Kfar Nahum to the bridge over the northern Jordan River, is relatively well developed and very easy to navigate.
The cache is hidden at a unique viewpoint over a hidden spring. There are various explanations of the geological and historical significance of the site. The cache is actually very close to route 87 going from West to East but I could not find an entrance in the fence from that side. You may also find it difficult to park at this point.
Once you get to the site, here is some information on the cache itself: The cache IS NOT close to the edge of the observatory so - don’t go there… It is a large plastic container with a blue lid. It is hidden under some stones that are at ground level.
Good luck and enjoy this unique site!
