Another in our series of local moth species
This is a small screw top container with log book, pencil, small swappables, FTF card.
The Common Rustic is as the name suggests a very common species and is often abundant around arable fields where the caterpillars will often feed on cereals rather than the hedgerow grasses it normally favours. Neither the moths nor the caterpillars are often seen though as they both hide in ground litter during the day and only come out late at night.
