Geocache Description:

This cache is our way of saying thank you to the local Geo-community for welcoming us with open arms since we became cachers in July 2011. It is our favourite type of cache container and holds LOADS of great swappables!!!

This cache is located on a public footpath near Brigsley, North East Lincolnshire. The route from Waltham to Holton le Clay via Brigsley is the one that Daddy Rich always used to drive GEOrge along when we were really struggling to get him to sleep as a baby. It is a lovely part of the World and there is a lack of caches around here so we thought we would change that. The terrain rating is high due to the last 40 yards being quite muddy and the last 5 yards being very steep. May get near the cache with an all terrain pushchair or mountain bike but I would say the best way to do the bit from the road is on foot. Please try to cover your tracks. The co-ords may be a bit out due to tree cover and the fact that my darling Wife had taken the batteries out of my GPS to test out a Christmas toy so I was relying on my GPS Android App for the co-ords but they do look very accurate on Google Maps and any experienced cacher will know exactly where to look for this once they are in the right area. Please replace and hide carefully so it is not visible from the footpath. PLEASE NOTE - ALTHOUGH RECOMMENDED FOR KIDS IT MAY BE BETTER THAT AN ADULT RETRIEVES THE CACHE FROM IT'S HIDING PLACE AS THE LAST FEW YARDS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR VERY YOUNG CHILDREN (WE WOULD NOT LET GEORGE DOWN THERE BUT HE IS ONLY 4 AND IF HE WERE 7/8 OR OLDER WE WOULD HAVE LET HIM). IF YOU ARE NOT VERY AGILE YOU MAY NEED A HELPING HAND FOR THE LAST FEW YARDS SO PLEASE DO NOT GO ALONE.
