Geocache Description:

One of a series of caches located very close to the Nottingham - Beeston canal. I hope you enjoy them.

The Nottingham - Beeston canal is a scenic waterway route popular with walkers, runners and cyclists (and of course, barges)!

This cache is located near the canal and gives a good view of a roving bridge. Stealth may be required to retrive the cache.

Roving bridges were used when barges were towed by horses. It meant that the towpath could cross the canal onto the other side and the horse towing the boats would not need to be unhitched.

The cache contains a log sheet only.

Please bring your own pen.

This cache is an additional cache in 'The Nottingham Canal Series', placed by Skybluesbazza.
