Cache escondido en "la costa del mar de Ross en algún lugar cerca del Cabo Evans", aprovechando la cercanía del cache GC38ZZF "Tributo a Amundsen" de nuestro compañero "Nuncastoy", con el pretendo rendir un pequeño homenaje al capitán Robert Falcon Scott y a sus compañeros de expedición Evans, Wilson, Bowers y Oates.Nuestra historia discurre muy cerca de la costa, espero que sea de vuestro agrado. Nota: las ubicaciones de las pistas del cache están cerca de la costa en zonas bastante concurridas, si es posible dejarlo todo tal y como esta, ser discretos y no dar pistas en vuestros logs para posteriores buscadores, muchas gracias. El 1 de Noviembre de 1911 Scott partirá desde su campamento en el cabo Evans de la isla de Ross. Allí pasa el invierno preperando la expedición científica, la exploración de la meseta antártica y la marcha final hacia el Polo Sur.El noruego Amundsen estableció su base "Framheim" en la bahía de las Ballenas, 60 millas al Norte,partirá a la conquista del Polo el 20 de Octubre de 1911. El resto de la historia es conocida por casi todo el mundo. En la tarde del 17 de Enero de 1912 Bowers divisó algo en la distancia.Hora y media más tarde se dieron cuenta de que se trataba de una bandera atada al patín de un trineo. Cerca estaban los restos de un campamento lleno de huellas de trineos y muchos perros. El noruego Amundsen se había anticipado llegando al Polo 30 días antes, el 14 de Diciembre de 1911. Scott estaba hundido anímicamente, muchos pensamientos venían a su mente, y sobre todo, como encarar el regreso, tristes, vencidos y cansados. Las dos expediciones habían planeado a conciencia su viaje, cada cual a su manera, en algo coincidieron, dejaron depósitos de provisiones a lo largo de la ruta.Amundsen tubo un poco mas de suerte y con pocos hombres y algunos perros muy bien adiestrados y sus trineos consiguió regresar sano y salvo de esta fría aventura y ser el primer hombre en pisar el Polo Sur. Scott no tubo la misma suerte, su expedición contaba con caballos y vehículos a motor que poco a poco sucumbieron en el hielo, Scott y sus hombres terminaron tirando de los trineos ellos mismos lo que les retraso enormemente, el dramático resto de la historia es conocido por casi todo el mundo El 1º depósito importante que estableció Scott fue "Safety Camp" y desde aquí se realizaron los preparativos para el asalto al Polo Sur. Nosotros buscaremos las pistas para encontrar dicho depósito, suerte y abrigaros bien, aquí las temperaturas llegan a los -89.3ºC(21 de julio de 1983). Las coordenadas de la cabecera pertenecen al lugar del desembarco de Scott, allí debes buscar un contenedor escondido bajo una roca con las pistas que te guiaran al deposito de provisiones donde se encuentra el cache, cuidado con los osos polares de la raza "Geomugle" son muy peligrosos y te pueden estar observando.Para encontrar alguna ubicación es preciso trazar algunos rumbos, necesitaras una brújula y un poco de imaginación para adaptar el Polo Sur al enclave del cache, suerte.
