Geocache Description:

Hidden on the American Tobacco Trail (ATT).... Nearest parking is at 1017 Wimberly RD.

update 04/APR/22: I have put out the replacement cache. Please stay on the ATT side of the fence line. Please be advised that there are some thorny plants on the way to the cache GZ. I hope to get out soon to remedy the situation, but for now please be careful when going to look for this cache.

update 30/MAR/22: Due to the cache being muggled twice, I have decided to move the cache to a different location. The cache is also no longer an ammo can, but a medium container that will still hold a decent amount of SWAG. I have secured the cache to a host, please do not break the attachment. Please enter the cache area near the fence line. Families caching with small kids will need to make sure to keep a hand/eye on them as there is a steep drop off near the cache area. Please make sure to latch the cache securely to keep it water tight and cover with natural debris.

Update 27/JUN/19: I went to the cache to do some owner maintenance and saw they have re-opened the parking lot on Wimberly Rd to access the ATT. There is still a lot of construction on the road, so please drive carefully.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Update 17/APR/19: There is some construction and they have closed the Wimberly Rd. Access to the ATT. The cache can still be accessed via the trail of you can find parking elsewhere.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Update 05/JAN/19: My Girls (GF4LIFE and DJ D’Dog) and I love to geocache. They especially love to find Ammo Cans. This cache is just off the ATT (which can be very busy), so please use your best judgement on when to look for it. You can take the cache and rummage through it on the trail away from it’s hiding spot. When you are done, please make sure the cache is closed properly. Back at the cache GZ, please lay the cache on its back (geocache label side up) and cover it back up with natural debris to help prevent it from being muggled. Maybe you will hear and/or see a plane or two also.

We have included an FTF coin for the first person who finds (or refinds depending on your point of view) the updated cache. We would like to Thank drewham25 (TeamCamaro) for allowing us to adopt his cache. We would also like to give a special Thank-you to NCReviewer for working with us on getting this adopted cache up and running.

CONGRATS to Yunday to be the FTF the updated cache on 26/JAN/19.

Original cache description by drewham25: Earlier on the ATT, I was caching and I noticed a location were airplanes were constantly passing over, and a place for a cache, so I took to action. Should be a quick find, if you've found some of the BATT caches, you'll know what type and style of hide to expect. Lot's of other caches along the way. Nearest parking is at 1017 Wimberly RD. As always, have fun!!! Congrats to Moncure Bee Dude and Chipmunx for the Co-FTF!
