Ermine Street - Scawby Three Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

andytalliss: This was a problematic cache with the tree that it lived in constantly filling with water. As if it was telling me to get rid of the intruder. It has now got its own way and I am archiving the listing. Soon to be reborn further up the path. Thanks for visiting this one in the past.

Geocache Description:

A pleasent area at the northern end of Ermine Street in Scawby

The Roman road Ermine Street can be traced for many miles. This particular spot is what is left of the single track road running from the south toward Broughton with Scawby to the south/east.
Access to the third in this series is from the south(only) off Messingham Lane. The route to the cache is easily accesible on foot from the parking areas used when visiting "Scawby One" and "Scawby Two"
This part of the old lane is a lot quieter than the other areas and you should be able to enjoy a pleasant muggle free stroll.
It is possible to do a round route via Scawby and back if you are feeling energetic.
The cache should be reasonably easy to find and contained a log, pencil, key ring, winners medallion and FTF certificate when placed. Please take your own pen/pencil just in case,
