Geocache Description:

Sure Norman lived with his mom in California where they ran the famous Bates Motel, but what Robert Bloch failed to mention in his novel was that Norma Spool started in the hotel business with her husband John in rural NC in the late '30s.

I've passed this location for the past 15 years and always thought it would make the perfect spot for a haunted house. So good in fact that I never considered stopping to explore the location until today while I was out looking for a place to hide another themed cache. Yes, it would have been a great cache to place 2 months ago, but frankly, I don't know that I would have had the nerve to approach around Halloween!
