Located just above the Burnout cache, this viewpoint gives you an even more spectacular view of Samish Bay and the San Juan Islands!
This cache can be accessed by hiking 5mi RT up an old logging Road. Park at the Clayton Beach Trailhead ( N 48° 38.887 W 122° 29.224) and start up the gated road, remembering to stay right at about (N48 38.765 W122 28.674). For even better views that include Mt Baker and Lake Samish, I highly recommend continuing up the road to a recent clearcut.
Remember, either a Discovery Pass, or a $10 day pass is required to park at the Clayton Beach Trailhead. Both of these can be purchased there.
