Geocache Description:

This is a little lock-n-lock.

Congratulations to G.O. Cash for FTF. What a privilege it is for this cache to be witness to an amazing 1,000th FTF. Wow - that's awesome!

This is the second geocahce that has been placed on the perimeter
of Barnaby Farm. This geocache was planned and placed by julianava
and son hobodan member of the team lunafeye and sactioned by
Barnaby Farm during Christmas 2011.

My father's wish is that the 180 +/- acre farm will never be sub-divided
and that the 100 acre forest will not be clear cut so the farm is
forever protected by the Virginia Outdoors Foundation.

From this vantage point you will be able to see 2/3 of the land
that is reserved for agriculture. We generally harvest the first
cutting of hay from the field in front of you. Later in the summer
we will allow the cattle to graze in this field. Over a hundred
years ago, or thereabouts the farm owners had damed the spring-fed
creek at the bottom of the hill. They cut ice blocks from the pond
in winter and stored it in an *ice pit* about 300 yards WSW from
your location heading 250 deg there is still a pock mark on the
hill.

Please park on the west side of the road.
