Presidents in the Park Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

tnphotobug: Thank you very much GeoHiker for your DNF log on this listing. This cache has been a bother for me ever since it was placed, and now I have decided to archive it. (Many thanks to all the cachers who have replaced this cache for me, though!) It's a great puzzle, but a not-so-great location. This area is now open for new cache placements.

Keep on cachin', everyone, and remember to HAVE A BLAST WITH THE PAST!!! [8D]

Geocache Description:

Hey everyone! Are you ready for a fun time, some learning about United States Presidents, and super-cool geocache hunt? Then this is your opportunity!

Don’t be scared of the description, this cache can really be a fun and easy challenge.
The above listed co-ordinates are totally bogus. There is nothing there! The co-ords for the actual cache are as follows:

N AB°00.CDE
W 0FG°0H.0IJ

Some of the co-ordinates (such as the zeros) have already been given. To figure out the rest of the co-ordinates (A-J), complete the following questions. If you don’t know the answers to any of the questions, check Google or Wikipedia. All the answers are there.

Okay! Now onto the puzzle. The answer you obtain from question A will be substituted for co-ordinate A in the co-ordinate set above. Likewise with B, C, and all the way down the line.

(Example #1: for question “A”, you will need to realize that the first President’s last name was “Washington”. “Washington” is ten letters long, so take away seven from ten like the directions say. Take that number (three) and substitute it for “A” in the co-ord set above.)

(Example #2: for question “B”, you will need to realize that the second President’s last name was “Adams”. The directions mention no subtraction or other computation, so don’t worry about it. “Adams” is five letters long, so replace “B” in the co-ordinate set above with five.)

A: take the number of letters in the first President’s last name and minus seven from that number.

B: the number of letters in the second President’s last name.

C: the number of letters in the nineteenth President’s last name.

D: the number of letters in the tenth President’s last name.

E: take the number of letters in the sixteenth President’s first name and minus five from that number.

F: the number of letters in the twenty-third President’s first name.

G: the number of letters in the eighteenth President’s last name.

H: the number of letters in the thirty-second President’s last name.

I: the number of letters in the ninth President’s last name.

J: take the number of letters in the twenty-eighth President’s last name and minus five from that number.

The actual cache, located in Heritage Park, is a fairly quick find. On your hunt, you will be looking for a cammo’ed pill bottle. As you search, please remember to bring your own writing device, use stealth, and replace as found. Have fun and Happy Caching!
