Geocache Description:

trikolou a river north of asklipeios ***does not exist no more, burnt in the fire, July 2023***

This is as far as the road goes on most maps on GPS DMS N 36 05' 40,40" E 27 55' 42,56" but in reality you can leave your car somewhere around here DMS N 36 06' 28,68" E 27 56' 07,08" The road after asklipios village is not paved and might be a little bumpy. When you leave your car you just start following the river, in the summer there will propably be no water but after some rain in winter there might be a lot of water coming down, so you will propably need some good waterproof boots since you have to cross the river several times. The geocache is one hour of walk... You can continue going down the river, you will eventually reach the sea but it will take a little bit more than 3 hours... so you better not leave the car on the start of the trip but ask someone to drop you off there, so you dont have to return back to it. The river ends near kiotari village. In some areas of the river you have no cell phone reception but if you are in need you can allways climb up the sides of the river to get signal. The geocache is on a huge rock at the side of the river should not be difficult to find. But the route is very nice. have fun! PS. i dont live in Rhodes anymore and i have heard that the cache has taken some damage PS.2 "Nice landscape. Our trip takes 1,5 hour on way. The box has completely dissolved. I donate a new box including LB. You can find the box in a rock crevice 1,5 m higher then the old one covered by smal stones. TFTC" Thanx to Fuchs-mit-Brille
