25 - In a Day Series Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

offline.cacher: The general rule reviewers use to archive a cache is that the cache owner has been notified (through a log entry) by the reviewer and that no response has been forthcoming. This is the case with this cache. As a result it has been archived.
If the owner would like to discuss this issue, please contact me through my geocaching.com profile. Include the GC code for the cache.

Thanks

Geocache Description:

In honor of Wandering Explorer, who has since moved away and retired his caches. We were sad to see you go! But your memory will live on - since we hid another cache in one of your previous puzzle GZs! Too good of a spot to let go to waste!

This is Team EagleKae's newest series!

Back in May of 2011, we decided to take a day to find 100 caches in a day. So on May 21, 2011 - KaeKae999 and LadyeagleRG met up with our friend WanderingEcxplorer (who missed his brother's bachelor party for this! - Now THAT's HARDCORE!!) and headed out to meet this challenge! We left Manassas, VA at 0500, finding our first cache at 0520 and ended in Alexandria, VA at 2230p with our 100th cache of the day!! )Anyone wishing to follow the geocaching route we took, just check out our geocaching stats for that day.)

We attempted 125 caches that day...found 100 of them and had 10 DNFs, with the other 15 as drivebys that we decided would not fit into the days' plan to reach 100 in a day. We made our goal with 90 minutes to spare.

Rules for the Team EagleKae 25 Caches in a day Challenge (and to qualify for the smiley) are:

1. You must be seriously determined (and possibly clinically insane) cacher!

2. You have to have found 25 caches (for which you have NOT previously logged a Found It) in a single calendar day (whether you accomplished this in the past or present, doesn't matter).

3. The day begins at midnight and ends at 11:59 pm the same day (you can't fudge it by going "6 pm on Saturday - 5:59 pm Sunday). A tough thing to accomplish...but that's what makes it a "challenge cache"!

4.You may find the cache and sign the log at any time...it IS at the posted coordinates and is more challenging (we hope) than the previous caches in this series. (You can let us know, if it's not!) The goal is to make them more challenging with each lessening number requirement.

5. However, you cannot log a Found It and claim that coveted smiley until the day you have achieved your 25-Caches-In-A-Day Challenge. We will have to delete any Found It logs for cachers who do not qualify.

6. When you log your accomplishment with a Found It, please post a public bookmark list, GSAK list, (whatever is easiest) of your qualifying caches, the date you found them and who you were with, so others can go look up your find record for the day, and confirm your awesomeness. Also, please post a description of your experiences.

Good luck with the challenge...and Cache On!
We look forward to reading your logs about your adventures!!
