Geocache Description:

Small container, hidden GerryGonz1 style, just off the trail.

From the parking lot, head to your left to the Red Trail, then right up the hill until the junction of the Green Trail. Now follow the arrow!

When you step off the main trail, you will walk between two identical hemlock trees. Or are they? What is different, and why?

While out here a few years ago, on a guided hike led by the Windham County Forester, he pointed out this feature, but he didn’t know why either! Feel free to post pictures, or offer your theories.

Cache is near the two trees, hopefully out of sight of touring muggles, and is winter-friendly.

Now go enjoy the Black Gum Trees, and whatever else you might come across.

p.s. Don't try to venture into the Swamp itself - stay on the path! Not only will you damage a very fragile ecosystem, but it's a peat moss base and not safe to walk on.

Congratulations to BevanQ for FTF, and GerryGonz and Capt Bob for a close #2 & 3!
