Geocache Description:

One of a series of caches based around our old haunts.

The Ex-Shanklin 'Girls' (The Nickster (N), and Mum (H) of SPO and Mum), having been friends for 40 years (50 years in spring 2021!), placed some caches to celebrate.

In our early years at the nearby Gatten & Lake School, our class was brought down here to admire the shiny new sea wall, a memorable visit probably only because one of our classmates fell off the sea wall and badly bumped & bloodied his head!

The cache is on a very busy path, and muggles can come at you from several directions, so stealth is required.

No need to leave the well-defined path, as the cache is easily reached from it.

You're looking for a long, thin cylindrical container, but please take care not to replace it TOO enthusiastically!

In order to claim the Nostalgia - Bonus cache (GC3HT2J) you need to find (nearly) all 13 of the other Nostalgia caches and make a note of the letters and numbers from their log books and/or cache containers.

If completing this series as a circular walk, we suggest the following caches next:

Clockwise; GC301QW Nostalgia - Gatten & Lake.  Run (or puff!) up the steps and turn S along the cliff top.

Anti-clockwise; GC301W7 Nostalgia - Down The Hut.  Down the steps and turn N for a nice easy stroll along the revetment, which is wheelchair friendly.   There’s a café on the way.

FTF congratulations go to Pippa's Crew.
