Mt Comboyne Fire Tower Traditional Cache

This Cache is located below the Old Fire Spotting tower and Comboyne Trig. Due to the cliffs around, please keep any junior geocachers in check, as an adventurer has perished on the peak some years ago as the plaque on the Trig Station attests. There is no need to go near the Cliff edges or to climb to locate Cache
GZ location is best attempted on foot or in a 4WD, and extreme care should be taken in inclement weather.
On a clear day the views from the top are outstanding – from the mountains to the sea
A nice little spot for a picnic. Have come here a few times over the years, although when we planted the cache, we met people on the way in – they were on foot and it was raining , and as we left a vehicle was coming up.
Being close to the coast can be miss leading as the weather can change quickly and it can be very cold there.
